Hunted by magic, beset by evil, the Nightwalkers face their darkest hour yet. And when the unthinkable happens, only one legendary male has the power, the will, to save them Adam.

For 400 Years He Was Lost To Her, But He Is Hers Tonight. From their first tantalizing touch, Jasmine knows he is different. What other lover could unlock her tight control, flood vampire senses jaded by a lifetime of decadent self indulgence? Centuries ago, when he disappeared without a trace, she had given up hope of ever fulfilling the promise of incomparable passion. But here he is, against the very laws of nature, ready to bring down their most vicious enemy, ready to bring her blood to the boiling point. . .if she will only let him. Pleasure rules the night.
Praise for The Nightwalkers.

My Thoughts

When I first found the Nightwalker series, I instantly loved it -I immediately devoured all 5 books; they were fantastic and amazingly full of myths, action, suspense and delicious demons, vampires, shifters and aww! more demons.
Jacquelyn Frank had crafted an extraordinary world that drew me in deeper with each installment. But then…..The books just stop coming.
There were so many loose ends left in the last book (Noah) that I couldn’t believe she had no plans for writing a continuation. Almost 3 years later here I’m, writing my thoughts of the conclusion (maybe not…. One can hope) to this exciting, sexy and engrossing series. I strongly recommend reading/listening in order to get the best experience.
Although it was incredible to be back in the Nightwalker’s world, I found it difficult to read/listen about my favorite character’s current circumstances. To see how their happily ever after were quickly banishing was a little unsettling, to say the least. But Ms.. Frank to set things right once again, in a highly imaginative storyline, brings Adam from the past nicely  blending  him into the plot.
Adam is a tough, fearless, and a total Alpha male, plus he is the most powerful water demon, and as the enforcer, he polices over the demon population. But in an ironic turn he finds himself on the verge of breaking the precise  principle he has sworn to enforce. Adam’s attraction to a vampire named Jasmine is as strong as it is illegal. Mating outside of the demon race is forbidden, and he is utterly torn about the way he feels.
When he encounters a young girl and is asked to save his brother from harm, he unreservedly agrees. But when he is swept away 400 years into the future, once again he encounters the tempting and sassy Jasmine. And this time things are different, their relationship is now possible due to the unforeseen changes in the demon society.
Adam and Jasmine are perfectly matched - their chemistry jumps off the pages. Jasmine’s character was nicely developed, and this time she’s a lot more likable.
Adam, Jasmine and the rest of our beloved Nightwalkers finally face the evil Ruth- who after uniting her forces with an unsavory but powerful vampire is now more dangerous than ever.
It seems Ms. Frank has left the door open for a continuation of the series, I hope she does.
This book had complexity, turns, intrigue and a nice dose of sensuality that made it one solid entertaining experience.

Narration

Again, Xe Sands lends the perfect voice and tone to amplify your enjoyment. Her approach to the characters is once again right  on target, she has kept a remarkable consistency throughout the whole series. The switches in points of view are nicelly handled, and with just the right amount of emotion she beautifully captures the tension, sensuality and overall feel of the story.
Her unintrusive voice and pose always allow the listener to get  immediately pulled into  the story and   experience the plot and  its characters in an unspoiled and enjoyable way.
Another great performance by Xe Sands.
